Work With the Energy, Not Against It

Today is a full catch-up day. - Yes I know I seem to have a lot of those lol. Honestly a "Catch up" day for me is normally whatever little things started on my massive to do list at the beginning of the week that are generally considered non time sensitive, on top of the days usual workload.
The kind where the coffee stays hot just long enough, the google home is blasting music or a podcast, and the to-do list actually gets attention instead of side-eye. Blog writing. Recordings. Discord updates. Client organization for March. Booking calls for tomorrow. My own planning time finally blocked in like it should be.
Big things, baby.
And honestly? The timing feels right.
Mercury officially shifted gears today, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s this: you can fight the energy, or you can work with it - but I am done repeating that fight.
Retrogrades have a rhythm. They slow things down, not to sabotage you, but to recalibrate you. They ask you to review instead of launch blindly. To organize instead of overextend. To clean up instead of stack more on top of what’s already wobbling.
And today feels like exactly that.
Instead of trying to push something massive out the door, I’m tightening bolts. Instead of forcing expansion, I’m strengthening structure. Instead of pretending I can outrun cosmic timing, I’m aligning with it.
There was a time when I would’ve ignored that. I would’ve scheduled launches during chaos, sent emails when I was irritated, signed contracts without double-checking details. Then I’d be shocked when something felt off.
Not anymore.
Now I treat retrogrades like built-in CEO maintenance windows. Review the backend. Refine the messaging. Clarify expectations. Revisit the vision. Make sure what I’m building still aligns with who I’m becoming.
Flow is so much more productive than force.
When you fight the current, you burn energy. When you move with it, you travel farther with less resistance. That doesn’t mean you stop working. It means you choose the right kind of work for the season.
Today isn’t about flashy wins. It’s about solid foundations. It’s about making sure March is organized before it arrives. It’s about booking the calls, confirming the details, updating the systems, and carving out space for my own next moves.
And here’s the part that feels different this year - there’s no panic behind it. No scrambling. No “I’m behind” narrative running in the background.
Just steady movement.
The more I lean into natural cycles - business cycles, life cycles, astrological cycles - the more I realize how much smoother things get when I stop trying to override them.
You don’t have to believe in astrology to understand timing. Every entrepreneur knows there are seasons. Expansion seasons. Cleanup seasons. Rest seasons. Grind seasons. Reflection seasons.
Right now? It’s a refinement season.
And I’m here for it.
