The Heart Behind the Retreat (And Why I Refuse to Water It Down)

February 05, 20263 min read

“When something keeps tugging at your heart, it’s not a cute idea — it’s a responsibility.”

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately sitting with the heart of this retreat - and I don’t mean the schedules, logistics, or the never-ending to-do list (although yes, those exist in full force). I mean the real reason this thing exists at all.

Because this retreat didn’t come from a random brainstorm or a trendy business move. It wasn’t built to follow what’s popular or what would be “easy to sell.” This vision has lived in my body for years. Long before it had a name. Long before it had dates or a location. Long before it made any logical sense to actually pull the trigger.

And no matter how busy life got… it never left.

I’ve watched so many women - myself included - build businesses while quietly abandoning themselves in the process. Doing everything “right.” Checking all the boxes. Showing up for everyone else. Grinding through exhaustion because that’s what strong women do… right?

Wrong.

This retreat exists because I’m done pretending burnout is a badge of honor.

It exists because survival mode is not a long-term strategy - for your business or your nervous system. And because clarity doesn’t come from pushing harder, buying another course, or forcing yourself to “just be more disciplined.”

It comes from space.
It comes from honesty.
It comes from finally slowing down long enough to hear yourself think.

The motivation behind this retreat isn’t hustle.
It’s reclamation.

It’s about stepping out of constant reaction mode and back into intentional creation. It’s about remembering that you’re allowed to build a business that supports your life - not one that drains it dry and calls it ambition.

This retreat is being built as a space where you don’t have to perform. Where you don’t have to be the strong one. Where you don’t have to prove anything to anyone. No fake productivity. No comparison games. No pressure to “fix” yourself.

Because you’re not broken.

The vision is grounded and powerful - not flashy for the sake of flash.

Real conversations that actually matter.
Strategy that fits your real life - not some idealized version of it.
Space to rest and to get clear.
Movement, laughter, reflection, and those quiet moments where everything suddenly clicks and you go, “Oh… THAT’S what I’ve been missing.”

I want people to leave this retreat feeling different in their bones.

Clear instead of scattered.
Grounded instead of wired.
Motivated without being pressured.
Confident without needing validation.

This retreat is not about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you already are - before the noise, the expectations, and the constant doing took over.

And that’s why I refuse to water it down.

Some visions aren’t meant to be rushed, softened, or squeezed into a neat little box. They’re meant to be honored, protected, and built with integrity. This retreat is one of those visions - and I’m all in.
