“New seasons don’t wait for perfect conditions… they begin anyway.”

It’s the first day of Spring.

And in true Alberta fashion… it’s snowing. lol

But honestly?

That’s kind of the perfect way to start today.

Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned — both in life and in business — it’s that new seasons don’t always look the way you expect them to when they arrive.

And today is a big one.

We’ve got the Spring Equinox, the official start of Aries Season, and Mercury finally going direct all stacked into the same day.

That’s a lot of energy shifting all at once.

And I don’t care what the weather is doing outside… I’m still celebrating it.

Let’s start with the Spring Equinox.

Historically, this has always been seen as a moment of balance. Day and night are equal, light and dark meeting right in the middle before the days start getting longer again.

Ancient cultures paid a lot of attention to this.

The Mayans built entire structures, like the pyramid at Chichén Itzá, to align with the equinox — where shadows create what looks like a serpent moving down the steps. The Persians celebrate Nowruz, their New Year, right at the Spring Equinox. Even ancient European traditions tied this time to fertility, growth, and renewal - which later blended into what we now recognize as Easter season.

Basically, this day has always been about one thing:

Reset and new beginnings.

Which, if you’ve been feeling the last few weeks… makes sense.

Because layered right on top of that, we also step into Aries Season today.

And Aries doesn’t do subtle. Aries is fire. Action. Movement. That “let’s go already” energy.

In astrology, Aries is considered the start of the zodiac year - not January 1st, but now. This is the energetic new year. The moment where things start moving again after all that reflective, dreamy Pisces energy.

So if the last few weeks felt foggy, slow, or like you were thinking more than doing…

That wasn’t random.

That was the setup.

And now?

Now the fire gets lit.

Just to add one more layer into the mix…cause y'all know I LOVE layers ...

Mercury is officially direct again.

Now yes, we’re still moving through the shadow period, so it’s not like everything magically snaps into perfect clarity overnight. But energetically? The shift is there.

Communication starts smoothing out. Plans start feeling a little more solid. Things that felt stuck begin to loosen.

It’s like the gears that were grinding a bit finally start turning properly again.

So here we are.

Snow falling outside.

Spring officially here.

Fire season kicking off.

Retrograde energy easing up.

And everything kind of sitting in that moment of…

“Alright… what are we doing next?”

And I love that.

Because even though it doesn’t look like spring outside my window…

It feels like it.

That subtle shift where things start to move again. Where the ideas you’ve been sitting on start asking for action. Where the planning, reflecting, and organizing starts turning into momentum.

So yes… I’m celebrating today.

Snow and all.

Maybe not in some big, over-the-top way. But in that quiet, intentional kind of way. Acknowledging the shift. Appreciating the reset. And getting ready to step into whatever this next season is bringing.
