Snow, Chaos & Momentum: What a Real Monday Looks Like
"Some days feel chaotic… until you realize that chaos is actually momentum."
Snow is falling again.
Because of course it is… Alberta’s not done with us yet
Meanwhile I’ve got the tunes cranked, laundry going, dogs rotating in and out like it’s some kind of organized chaos system, and I’m sitting here trying to get my space back in order while my laptop is being wiped and restarted.
So yeah… it’s one of those Mondays.
And honestly? I don’t hate it.
This weekend was kind of the perfect mix of busy and exactly what I needed. A lot got done, but it didn’t feel rushed. There was cleaning, some good chats with friends, and actual downtime - which I’ve been getting a lot better at not skipping over.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, I also managed to sit down and fully work out my pricing.
Which… if you’ve ever done that properly, you know it’s not just a quick “pick a number and go” situation. It’s a whole process of looking at your time, your energy, what you actually want your business to look like, and making sure it all lines up in a way that makes sense.
But it’s done.
And that feels really damn good.
Client content got knocked out, as always, because that part never stops. But it feels different when everything around it is starting to line up too.
And now here we are.
Monday.
Back in it.
Laundry needs to be swapped, dogs need to be rotated (because apparently that’s just part of my daily operations now), and I’ve got content to get back to once my workspace is fully reset and ready to go again.
Oh - and hubby’s on his way home for a few days, which always shifts the energy around here in the best way.
So yeah… it might look a little chaotic from the outside.
Snow falling.
Music loud.
House moving in ten different directions at once.
But inside it actually feels… aligned.
Like everything is moving.
Not perfectly. Not quietly. But forward.
And honestly, I think that’s something people don’t talk about enough.
Not every productive day looks calm and aesthetic and perfectly planned out.
Sometimes it looks like laundry piles, background noise, half-finished tasks, and you bouncing between things while still getting it all done.
Sometimes it looks like this.
And sometimes… this is exactly what momentum feels like.
