Ohhit ... I manifested this lol
“Sometimes the life you asked for doesn’t arrive looking calm and perfectly organized. Sometimes it shows up busy as fuck, slightly chaotic, and better than you imagined.”
I so deeply want to sit down and chat with y'all about my amazing experience in Utah. Seriously. I have stories, realizations, pictures, experiences and about seventeen different things I've thought, Ohhhh, THAT needs to be a blog. And yet here we are, almost a week after my first post home, and I still haven't gotten to them. LOL. Not because they aren't important or because Utah didn't have a massive impact on me, but because work and family have absolutely taken priority since I got home.
And honestly? I'm okay with that.
October and November are shaping up to be absolutely HUGE months around here, not only for my own business but for a couple of my clients too. There are projects moving, things launching, things finally coming together that we've been working on for what feels like forever, and approximately nine thousand little pieces moving around behind the scenes. My calendar is filling up, the lists are definitely not getting any shorter, and every time I think I've got a handle on everything, something else pops up and goes, Hey girl, don't forget about me! Apparently that's just the season we're in right now. LOL.
Then there's home life, because of course business isn't the only thing happening around here. Missy Moo is still basically glued to me every second she possibly can be after I had the audacity to leave her for a week. Apparently I've been forgiven enough that I'm allowed out of her direct line of sight occasionally, but we're definitely not back to full independence yet. And my truck? Well... she's currently sitting on stands in the shop because the brake job we started this past weekend turned into a whole fucking thing. You know how those jobs go. You start with, We'll just replace this, and two hours later you're standing there staring at a growing list of parts wondering how the hell we got here.
Luckily the parts are in now, and hubby and my oldest will both be home Saturday night to get my girl put back together because we have places to be. The following weekend we're scheduled to head to the lake for our yearly Thanksgiving horseshoe tournament, and I'm very much looking forward to it. Another weekend away probably sounds slightly insane considering I just got home from Utah, but this one is different. It's tradition. It's family. It's one of those things that sits on the calendar every year, and honestly those pieces of our life matter just as much as everything I'm building in business.
So here we go again. Another ridiculously busy stretch before the calendar officially flips into October, followed by two months that I already know are going to require me to stay organized, grounded and probably very well caffeinated.
But here's the thing I keep coming back to...
This is what I fucking manifested.
Okay, maybe not the truck repairs. I'm definitely not taking credit for manifesting those. LOL But the rest of it? Yeah. This is pretty damn close to the life I've been asking for.
I wanted a business that was busy. I wanted projects that excited me. I wanted clients whose work I genuinely cared about. I wanted to build things instead of constantly feeling like I was fighting to keep something alive. I wanted enough happening that I could choose what deserved my energy instead of desperately trying to create momentum from nothing. And somewhere underneath all of those wishes was this little secret one that I wasn't always sure would actually happen: I wanted a team.
I wanted people around me who could take an idea and help me turn it into something real. People I could trust with pieces of the work instead of feeling like I had to personally touch every single fucking thing. People who understood what I was trying to build and could help me build it.
And holy shit... that showed up too.
It's funny how easy it is to manifest the busy life and then complain that you're busy. LOL. I've caught myself doing that more than once lately. I'll look at the calendar or the to-do list and think, Jesus Christ, there is so much happening, and then I have to remind myself that not very long ago I was asking for exactly this. Not the overwhelm. Not burnout. Not running myself into the ground. But growth. Momentum. Opportunity. Support.
Those things don't always arrive wrapped in a pretty little package with an empty calendar attached.
Sometimes they look like client calls, website builds, book launches, meetings, research, travel plans, family weekends, dog rotations, truck parts sitting in boxes waiting to be installed and a half-finished cup of coffee I've reheated three fucking times.
And maybe that's part of what Utah helped me see a little more clearly too. I don't have to wait until everything is perfectly calm to enjoy the life I'm building. Because let's be real... when exactly is that supposed to happen? There will always be another project, another launch, another repair, another trip, another idea and another thing that needs attention. The goal isn't creating a life where nothing is happening.
The goal is creating a life where I actually like what's happening.
And I really fucking do.
So yes, Utah stories are coming. I promise. There are things from that trip I still want to sit with a little longer anyway, and maybe that's not a bad thing. They don't need to be rushed out just because I came home. They'll come when they come, probably mixed in between stories about business, family, whatever the Universe decides to throw at me next and apparently the occasional unexpected vehicle repair.
For today, though, there's work to do and a list sitting beside me that's ready for some checkmarks. I've got coffee in one cup, water in another, electrolytes and protein in my shaker, and an entire team helping me build some of the things that not very long ago existed only inside my head.
Busy? Absolutely.
Chaotic? A little.
Grateful?
Fucking beyond words.
Now... off I go to Do the Dang Thang.
