Hope vs Knowing
“Sometimes the biggest leap of faith isn't starting. It's finally believing you're worthy of succeeding.”
The sun is shining this morning and honestly, after the weather we've been having lately, I'll take it. The basement is behaving itself for the moment, the coffee tastes extra good, and today feels like one of those days where the energy is finally moving forward instead of feeling stuck. What's funny is the thing that's been on my mind most this morning isn't actually the launch itself. It's all the mindset garbage that showed up before it.
You know the stuff. The old stories. The conditioning. The years of being told what business is supposed to look like, how you're supposed to sell, what you're supposed to charge, what success is supposed to look like, and all the other rules someone else made up somewhere along the way. Because if I'm being completely honest, putting these readings on sale messed with my head way more than I expected. Not because I don't believe in them. Actually, that's the funny part. I believe in them so much that I struggled with the idea of discounting them at all. Every reading has hours of work behind it. Years of learning. Thousands of dollars invested into courses, books, certifications, software, mentorships, and experience. Not to mention the intuition, energy, and heart that goes into every single one. So when the idea of running a promotion kept popping into my head, I resisted it hard.
I kept arguing with myself. The value is already there. The pricing is already fair. People can already see how much they're getting. All perfectly logical arguments. And yet my intuition would not shut up. It kept coming back. Again. And again. And again. Finally I sat back and asked myself a different question. What if this isn't about me? What if somewhere out there is someone who genuinely needs this reading right now? What if they're standing at a crossroads, questioning themselves, trying to make sense of a season they're in, and that fifty dollar discount is the exact thing that allows them to say yes?
That hit differently. Because suddenly it wasn't about whether the readings were worth their regular price. They absolutely are. It became about creating an opportunity. A doorway. A little more breathing room for someone who's feeling called to do the work but is hesitating because life is expensive right now. And let's be honest, life is expensive for a lot of people right now. The moment I looked at it that way, everything shifted. The resistance disappeared. The fear disappeared. What was left was excitement.
Then another realization hit me. Why am I putting an arbitrary date on this? Why am I creating a deadline simply because that's what marketing says I'm supposed to do? If this is truly intuition-led, then maybe it doesn't need a calendar deadline. So I scrapped the end date entirely. Instead, I put a limit on the number of coupons available. Simple. When they're gone, they're gone. No countdown clock. No fake urgency. No pressure tactics. Just an opportunity for the people who feel called to jump in before the spots disappear.
The more I build this business, the more I realize that entrepreneurship is really just personal development wearing a business suit. Every launch, every offer, every decision seems to shine a spotlight on an old belief, an old fear, or an old story that's ready to be challenged. This one happened to be around value. Around trust. Around believing that maybe, just maybe, the thing I've built can genuinely help people. So today I'm choosing belief. Belief in myself. Belief in the work. Belief in the people who are finding their way here. And belief that sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen when we stop arguing with our intuition long enough to listen to it.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have a promo to launch, a whole lot of faith to back it up with, and absolutely zero intention of talking myself out of it.
