Finding My Rhythm Again
"You can't control the storm, but you can decide how you'll move through it."
Good morning.
It's been one of those mornings where I feel like I've already lived an entire day before finishing my second cup of coffee. I swear, from the moment my feet hit the floor, I've been moving. Between checking messages, rearranging my schedule, catching up on everything from the weekend, and looking at what needs to happen this week, it would've been really easy to let my brain take over and convince me that I was already behind. A few years ago, that's exactly what would've happened. I'd have bounced from one thing to the next, forgotten half of what I needed to do, and spent the entire day feeling like I was chasing my own tail. Instead, I did the one thing I've learned my nervous system absolutely craves. I stopped. I opened my calendar, brain dumped everything onto it, and gave every task a home. Will it all stay exactly where I put it? Absolutely not. Things will move around, priorities will shift, and life will inevitably laugh at my beautifully colour-coded plans. But the moment it's out of my head and onto paper, I can breathe again. Apparently my nervous system doesn't need perfection... it just needs to know there's a plan.
Looking back, this entire weekend felt a little like the astrology we've all been talking about. We had thunderstorm warnings, tornado watches, hail, rain... basically Mother Nature decided to throw everything at us except sunshine. Somehow, in the middle of all that, it was still exactly what I needed. Hubby was home, even if it was only for one night and most of Sunday, and somehow he still managed to sneak in mowing part of the lawn between storms. Those little moments are becoming more precious than they used to be. Maybe it's because life feels busier than ever, or maybe it's because I'm finally learning that a good life isn't built from the huge milestones we spend years chasing. Sometimes it's built from watching someone you love mow the lawn while dark clouds roll in because you both know the weather probably isn't going to cooperate for long.
Last night's TikTok Live reminded me why I keep feeling pulled back to showing up consistently. We had some incredible conversations, and this morning I was chatting with one of my clients about everything she's been experiencing over the last few days. Listening to her describe what she's been moving through felt like hearing echoes of conversations I've been having with myself. It was one of those beautiful moments where I could honestly tell her, "Girl... you're doing the damn work. I'm so proud of you. And no... you're not fucking crazy." Sometimes when we're deep in a season of growth it feels like everything is shifting at once. Our emotions don't quite make sense. Old patterns are coming up. Relationships feel different. We question whether we're making it all up in our heads. Then someone else shares almost the exact same experience, and suddenly you realize maybe you're not broken. Maybe you're just changing.
I can honestly say I'm feeling these transits in a way that's difficult to put into words. I don't know if it's because I'm paying closer attention this year or because there's simply so much changing in my own life right now, but it feels like something is reorganizing itself beneath the surface. It's not loud. It's not dramatic. It's almost like a quiet recalibration. Mercury Retrograde has been a huge part of that for me. Instead of fighting it, I've spent the last few weeks reviewing my offers, simplifying my systems, rethinking how I want my business to grow, and asking myself some honest questions about what actually feels aligned. I have a feeling there are still a few more tweaks to make this week, but for once they don't feel overwhelming. They actually feel exciting.
One thing has become crystal clear over the last few days though. I miss community. Not just people watching videos or reading blogs, but genuine conversations. Places where people can ask questions, celebrate wins, admit when they're struggling, and realize they aren't walking this path alone. I've been feeling that pull stronger every day, so sometime this week - maybe even today if I can shuffle things around - I'm finally going to sit down and map out what that community could look like. Not because I think I need another offer, but because I genuinely believe we're not meant to navigate seasons like this by ourselves.
As for TikTok... we're doing another take at daily lives. This time I'm letting go of trying to force myself into a specific schedule. If I have thirty minutes between client work and writing, I'm going live. If inspiration hits while my coffee is still hot, I'm going live. I'm realizing consistency doesn't always have to look like showing up at exactly the same time every day. Sometimes consistency simply means continuing to show up.
And honestly... I think that's the energy I'm taking into this week.
Not perfection.
Not pressure.
Just showing up.
Again.
And again.
And trusting that each small step is quietly becoming something much bigger than I can see right now.
