When the Energy Feels Louder Than Your Thoughts
"Sometimes the most productive thing you can do isn't work harder - it's listen."
Well... here we are again. lol
I dropped the ball on my blog.
A few years ago that would've bothered me way more than it does now. I'd have convinced myself I was falling behind or not being consistent enough. Now? I know myself a whole lot better. Sometimes life gets busy, sometimes the energy gets loud, and sometimes the best thing you can do is stop trying to force something that isn't flowing.
If I'm being honest, the last week has felt like my brain has been plugged into a wall socket. Buzzing. Ideas everywhere. Half-finished thoughts, new opportunities popping up out of nowhere, conversations that spark another ten ideas before I've even finished the first one. It's exciting... but it's also exhausting. Every time I sat down to write one thing, three more things would land on my to-do list, and before I knew it another day had slipped by.
The interesting part is that I'm seeing it everywhere right now. Clients are questioning themselves. Friends are second guessing decisions. People who normally seem incredibly grounded are suddenly feeling uncertain or looking at their entire lives from a completely different perspective. It would be really easy to point at one transit and say, "See? That's why."
Except... that's never how astrology actually works.
One of the reasons I spend so much time studying the charts is because I refuse to look at the sky through a single lens. Saturn Retrograde isn't a two-day event. It's months of restructuring, reviewing, slowing down, and building stronger foundations. Mercury may have stationed direct, but we're still walking through the post-shadow, sorting through everything that came up while it was retrograde. The Nodes have officially shifted into Aquarius and Leo, changing the bigger collective storyline we're stepping into over the next year and a half. Tomorrow's Full Moon is already building in the background, adding its own emotional layer to everything else.
They're all flavours.
Every single transit adds another ingredient to the recipe, and no two birth charts bake that recipe exactly the same way. That's why two people can experience the exact same astrology and walk away with completely different lessons. One person's breakthrough is another person's reality check. One person's expansion is another person's invitation to rest.
That reminder has been hitting me hard this week.
I keep thinking I've got everything planned out, colour-coded, time blocked, and beautifully organized. Then the Universe just kind of smiles and says, "That's cute... but don't forget about this." Suddenly another project appears. Another client needs something. Another idea lands. Another opportunity opens up. And while the old version of me would've immediately tried to squeeze it all into the calendar, this version knows better.
Sometimes the answer isn't doing more.
Sometimes it's taking better care of the person who's trying to do it all.
So today has become my reset day. Yes, there are a dozen little projects that need wrapping up, and there are some bigger launches sitting just around the corner that deserve my attention. But before any of that, I need to take care of me. That means getting organized, doing a little decluttering, prepping some healthy meals and snacks so I'm not grabbing whatever's easiest, getting outside for a walk even if it's only ten minutes, and giving my nervous system a chance to catch up with everything my brain has been trying to process.
Because I've learned something over the years that no productivity guru ever really talks about.
When your energy is scattered, working harder usually isn't the answer.
Grounding is.
So that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to make another cup of coffee, take some time to meditate, breathe, and let the buzzing settle a little. Then I'll come back to my ever-growing to-do list with fresh eyes, a calmer nervous system, and probably a much better plan than the one I would've forced an hour ago.
And honestly... I have a feeling that's exactly what today's energy has been trying to teach me all along.
