Why Energy Matters Before Taking Action in Business
“The work doesn’t start when you go live - it starts when you get yourself ready to show up.”
This morning started off simple, but in the best way.
I spent some time doing prep for Day 3 of the Backwards to BadAss beta, getting myself back into that space and making sure everything is lined up for today’s live. There’s something about that kind of prep that feels different now - it’s not rushed, it’s not chaotic, it’s more like stepping back into the energy of what I’ve already built and just tightening things up before I show up and deliver it.
And in the middle of all that, my kiddo made me a kick ass omelet … which, let’s be real, automatically makes the morning better lol. There’s something about those little moments that just ground everything. It’s not all business, not all “go go go,” it’s just life happening alongside it.
Now I’m sitting here with my frequencies playing, and instead of jumping straight into the next task, I’m taking a minute to actually get myself ready for the live. Not just from a “what do I need to say” standpoint, but from an energy standpoint. Because there’s a big difference between showing up prepared … and showing up aligned.
And I can feel that shift again.
It’s not about overthinking the content or trying to make sure everything is perfect. It’s about dropping into the space where I know what I’m talking about, I know what I’ve built, and I trust that what needs to come through will.
That’s something I didn’t always do.
Before, I would’ve been running through notes, tweaking things last minute, second guessing if I covered everything, wondering if it was “enough.” Now it feels more like I’ve already done the work - this part is just showing up and letting it land.
And honestly, that feels a hell of a lot better.
The rest of the day is pretty standard. Regular to-do’s, things that need to get done, stuff that keeps everything moving, a friends tax return lol. But starting the day like this, with intention instead of urgency, changes how all of that flows.
Because when you take a minute to get yourself grounded before you jump into action, everything after that tends to hit a little smoother.
And that’s where I’m at today.
Not rushing. Not scrambling.
Just getting into the right energy … and then moving from there.
